Manuscript Sessions for Editors

The Author-Editor Clinic offers experienced editors the opportunity to expand and strengthen a variety of developmental and structural editing skills as well as to network with other editors. As one editor puts it, "The Clinic has probably been the most important reason that I have steady and rewarding editorial work today." Another successful freelancer adds, "I also relished the sense of community among the Clinic editors—it was a pleasure each week to spend time with fellow lovers of words and stories!"

The Spring 2009 Manuscript Session is six weeks long, with five meetings. The meetings are Thursday evenings, March 19 – April 23, from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m., at the Good Shepherd Center in Wallingford (Seattle).

Please contact session manager Kyra Freestar for an informational sheet on the editors' role in the manuscript session, including many comments from editors who have previously participated in the Clinic. The application deadline is February 14, but as the sessions are limited to six editors, feel free to contact us sooner to be considered.
